Der Extron YCS SW2 A ist ein Video- & Audio-Umschalter mit zwei Eingängen und zwei Ausgängen, der Signale codieren (kombinieren) und decodieren (separieren) kann. Mit einem hochwertigen, digitalen Dreifach-Kammfilter akzeptiert der YCS SW2 A PAL, SECAM, NTSC 3.58 oder NTSC 4.43, FBAS-Video und decodiert das Signal zu S-Video. Als Encoder kann er zudem Luminanz- und Chroma-Signale kombinieren und als FBAS-Video ausgeben. Die erweiterte Videoverarbeitung stabilisiert und verbessert Signale aus Quellen wie Videorecordern, alten oder oft abgespielten VHS-Cassetten und anderen Geräten mit instabilen Sync-Signalen. Der YCS SW2 A besitzt, zugeordnet zu den beiden Video Eingängen, zwei Audio-Eingänge. Ein typisches Einsatzgebiet dieses Umschalters ist die Eingangserweiterung von preiswerten Projektoren.
