Anaheim, California (March 30, 2026) – Western High School, Louisville’s first and only STEM magnet school, recently opened Kentucky’s largest high school esports arena. Spanning nearly 4,300 square feet, the facility features a competitive gaming area, Shoutcast station, studio production room, and instructional spaces that host classes in video game design and computer science. Students gain hands-on experience in game development, broadcasting, and technology while competing in statewide esports tournaments. The arena’s XTP II CrossPoint 6400 modular matrix switcher is the heart of the system, distributing 4K/60 video and audio routing between gaming stations and displays. The intuitive TLP Pro 1025T touchpanel provides centralized control of the AV system allowing coaches and teachers to route content to various displays, as well as adjust lighting and audio levels. With integrated Extron AV solutions, teachers and coaches can seamlessly transition between classroom instruction and esports tournaments.
